The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 beta has begun on Xbox and PC for everyone who has pre-ordered CoD MW2, and perks work slightly differently this time around with the best ones unlocking in the middle of matches.

Playtests for CoD MW2 are scheduled to completely finish on September 26th. So far, the reception has been largely positive, but Infinity Ward is resisting calls to change the mini map to appease the fans who are upset over enemies not appearing on the map for firing their weapon.

The game is a balance between traditional Call of Duty and new implementations, and one of the big changes is the utilisation of perks.

Per Activision’s website, you can unlock bonus and ultimate perks quicker through kills and assists, as well as by completing objectives.
